Maps in 0.14.0
The newest item to be added to Minecraft Pocket Edition is Maps! Maps are already available in the PC, Mac, and console versions (both Xbox and Playstation). Maps allow you to ‘map’ out the world, see terrain, and what direction you’re facing. This allows you as a player to much more easily navigate the world, and enjoy the view.

Maps are particularly helpful in worlds that generate infinitely – the standard for Pocket Edition worlds.
